Month 2 Status Update: Three-Month Fitness Program


I am into this boot, cross fit, plyometric style training.  I should have been a fitness trainer.  I regularly look at fitness/exercise videos with enjoyment.  As mentioned in a previous post, we started a three-month fitness program, and we have now completed the second month of training.  Lance revealed to me that yesterday’s workout was intense, and poor Maryam (Lance’s employee) threw up after the work out.  I was actually proud to hear that.  I know.  I am sick.
 
I firmly believe in pushing yourself to what you think is your limit, but you learn, it really isn't, and you are capable of so much more.
 
The results of all three of us were most noticeable in the inches lost.  Maryam and I have not lost any weight.  It is demoralizing to step on that scale and know that you worked so hard for zero change.  However, when we took the tape measure out, and we started doing body measurements, our mouths were left wide open in shock and amazement. 

I have been doing squats and lunges insanely, and I think my most noticeable change is in my thighs.  2.5 inches in my thigh circumference is pretty substantial! I know I'm firmer and much stronger.

But Lance…..let’s talk about Lance….he is a new man.  He has lost so much weight and so many inches.  When I hold him, and more specifically when we make love, it just feel like a different man.  Wow! He also shaved his beard, and I’m like gushing at how incredibly sexy my husband is…..He has awakened every sense in my body.  I just want to attack him.
 
It is hard to tell from these photos, but I have received comments from so many co-workers on how different he looks.  Previously, Lance looked like he was 7-months pregnant, but now? That belly has shrunken! I’m really proud of him for changing his diet and committing to an exercise program.  We have one more month to go, and he is only going to get better, and most importantly, healthier!

 
 
The chart below reflect Lance's weight at 253 pounds when we started on May 1.  However, Lance started a diet one week prior and was 258 at that time.
